On her 2013 album Tales From The Treetops, Canadian jazz singer Anne Bisson collaborated with cellist Vincent Bélanger. Bélanger studied at the conservatories in Québec, Canada and Montpellier, France; later he attended master classes with Yvan Chiffoleau and Yo-Yo Ma.

The album contains compositions by Bélanger and Bisson as well as music by Sylvie Massicote, Pierre Lenoir, Fung Sou and David Chesky. The different styles range from Chinese music - sung in Mandarin -, Jazz, Latin and Bossa Nova. For the recording, high-quality cables from XLO Electric were used, which cooperated with the artists for the project on the occasion of their 25th anniversary. Bisson plays on a Steinway Concert Grand D 317, mastered by Bernie Grundman and pressed by RTI California.
