Korf Audio TA-SF9 Tonearm Series II

Korf Audio TA-SF9 Tonearm Series II

16.500,00 DKK

The same revolutionary Korf design. The same acclaimed Korf sound.
The same ease of use. In a more affordable tonearm.

  • Improved Series II Model
  • Now with 3 year warranty
  • Choose between round compact JIS-type mounting base or a sliding SME-type base. Or get both!

Slight discolorations and minor shape irregularities of the headshell are possible. This is the nature of the ceramic material, not a defect.

Hey, what's the deal with the Series II? What changed?

We are always looking for ways to improve. Through three years of production, we have learned enough to take the performance of our tonearms to the next level. Here's what we have done:

  • Stainless steel vertical column, giving a more solid foundation to the whole tonearm
  • Steel vertical shaft for deeper and more defined bass
  • Internal redesign for even more rigidity
  • Simpler, cleaner, more premium look
    • Completely new azimuth adjustment mechanism for smoother setting
    • Warranty extended to 3 years now
I used this opportunity to completely rid the tonearm of all structural set screws. Now the only one left is the one holding the arm lift.

The Reviewers Love TA-SF9

The German glossy hi-fi magazine Image Hi-Fi did a thorough review of Korf toneam. You can read it here, and it has an interview with me too, as a kind of bonus.

Here's what Heinz Gelking has to say:

"The hyper-precise bass reproduction may seem a bit slim at first, but it reaches deep down and can growl nasty (...) It's been a long time since the fragile voice was so clear, so focused, so direct between my speakers.

Conclusion: The arm sounds better than it costs, and plays much higher." (our translation)

What Makes Korf Tonearms Special?
The Korf tonearms are a clean sheet rethink of what a tonearm should be. We focused on our audio priorities: quality of motion, rigidity, low energy storage, signal integrity, stability and longevity.

You will immediately hear the sonic benefit: Korf tonearms offer unmatched clarity, holographic imaging, real life dynamics, true tonality, sparkling highs and a really deep bass.
