CERADISC 45 C has three ceramic balls in one layer and it´s designed for cables.

Vibration Absorption: ceramic materials have the ability to absorb mechanical energy that is in vibrations. When vibrations reach the pad, the balls begin to vibrate. This vibration is actually the energy gained from the incoming vibration. The balls absorb this energy and this reduces the intensity of the vibration which is transmitted further.
Energy diffusion: the ceramic balls have a solid structure and are separated from each other. When vibrations are transmitted to these balls, the energy is transferred between them. This process of energy diffusion causes the vibrations to gradually decrease and weaken.
Reflection and diffusion: When vibrations are transmitted, some of the energy may be reflected or diffused in different directions. Ceramic balls have properties that allow this energy to be reflected and diffused efficiently. This dissipates the vibrations and reduces their intensity.
Simply said, the ceramic balls in the anti-vibration pads act as vibration absorbers that absorb and diffuse the vibration energy, ensuring that this energy does not spread further into the device or the surface on which the pads are placed.
